Tech wreck: Aussie start-up funding plummets two thirds from peak

Australia's venture capital industry crumped last year as investors stopped doing deals, and as the amount of cash injected into the tech companies has plummeted from its peak by two thirds.

...only four of the 15 existing Australian unicorns tested their valuations in market transactions, raising questions about the value of the rest. 

Almost all founders surveyed said they planned to raise more money in the next two years.   More than 600 venture capitalists, founders and angel investors were surveyed for the State of Venture Capital report from industry data firm Cut Through Venture and Folklore Ventures shows.
