Andrew McCabe

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in the sector, including leading restructuring and insolvency firms, and held various corporate roles before joining Wexted Advisors in May 2018.

Andrew specialises in providing safe harbour advice to directors of ASX Listed and large private companies.

He has significant experience in trading on complex insolvency engagements across a range of industries in Australia and the UK. As a registered liquidator, chartered accountant and industry member of ARITA, TMA and AIIP. Andrew takes formal appointments as Receiver, Voluntary Administrator, Deed Administrator and Liquidator. 

His vast technical knowledge, high ethical and quality standards, combined with corporate experience (CEO and CFO roles), enable him to quickly 'cut-through' information to define the key issues and provide strategic advice to clients on complex matters and asset recoveries.

Andrew provides both formal and informal restructuring advice, and works with a number of financiers, private equity, legal advisors and company boards to resolve matters in a strategic, timely and cost-effective manner.  Over the past +25 years, Andrew has developed significant expertise across of range of industries, including property, construction, technology, hospitality, wholesale and distribution, finance and debenture funds.

Andrew undertakes investigative accountant reports for financiers across a range of industries and provides financial health assessments for developers in the building industry.  He is regularly asked to act as an Independent Expert to resolve stakeholder disputes and regularly contributes on safe harbour to the AICD.
